Mee's Beard
From Space Tree Wiki
We first see Mee's beard in Back to Beardland, after Mee shaved. He is an independant sentient life form. He offered to take the Commander Allon back to beardland, but bit Allons arm off instead. He was also involved in a scheme to secure a room for Mee on Space Tree's ship. Shortly after, he was stabbed and shot, killing him (for good?). He appears to be a creature of whatever weird powers Mee has.
