Transcript
(Commander stands around, enter Space Tree. A musical beat starts playing as Space Tree enters)
Space Tree: Okay, Commander. Here's the plan! We're gonna....duh....ssss-
Commander: What's the plan, Space Tree!?!
Space Tree: Hold on, I forgot. I think it was something to do with... mice... or fish... or something...but... I can't.... put my finger on it...
Commander: C'mon! Try to remember. I really want to know what the plan is.
Space Tree: Well I can't remember, It's not like I can just pull the memory out of my tree hole, I mean, my name is Space Tree the Space Tree not Space Tree the Memory Tree.
Commander: Well then can you please introduce me to the memory tree?
Space Tree: Yeah, what a per-pre-posterous... suggestion. Only I may talk with memory tree, only I know where he lives, and only I know how to speak his ancient language.
Commander: C'mon, Space Tree, you can hook me up with the memory tree.
Space Tree: No I cannot, for you see...
Space Tree: ♫ (Starts singing and dancing, and pulls down a banner showing an unidentified tree with "The Memory Tree" written at the bottom. While he sings, a black tree appears above the first tree, his trunk reading "MT" and is highlighted by arrows) The memory tree lives inside another tree. He's a friend to you and me, but he wants you to leave him be, 'cause he only talks to me! He is the Memory Tree! ♫
(enter Allon)
Allon: ♫ The memory tree once told a secret to me. (Allon pulls down another identical banner, but this one shows Memory Tree above Space Tree) He lives inside Space Tree and he just wants to be free but... Space Tree & Allon: ♫ ...He never will be free! ♫
Allon: ♫ ...because (opera-like voice) HE IS THE MEMORY... TREE! ♫ (Allons sheds a single tear)
Space Tree: Hey, wait a second, how did you know about the memory tree and his secret location?
Allon: Uh... he told me?
Commander: Is that true space tree? You're holding the Memory Tree prisoner inside your "leafs"?
Space Tree: No, it's not true. Allon is a green-faced liar.
Commander: But you said; "He never will be free". Why won't you let him be free?
Allon: Yeah, Space Tree, why?
Space Tree: For many reasons that no mere mortals, such as yourselves, could ever understand. Plus I didn't really say that, I just got caught up in the song. You know what that's like.
Commander: No I don't. All I know is that the Memory Tree is the sexiest Tree I've ever seen.
Space Tree: You haven't even seen him.
Commander: No I haven't seen him. Someday though. Someday... (looks up, raised hand, then picks up Allon) Come on Allon. Let's go save that sexy Memory Tree. (throws him into Space Trees leaves)
Space Tree: Hey, what the
Commander: I'm coming for you, MT! Wha! (Throws himself into Space Tree's leaves)
Space Tree: Hey, what're you doing? Don't you realise what a ridiculous invasion of my personal space that is? Don't make me come in there!
(Musical beat resumes)
Unseen Narrator: And so, the quest for the memory tree began, with the commander and friends heading off on their journey, despite Space Tree's wishes. Meanwhile, Space Tree himself is left to devise a devious plan to stop them. Before it's too late... To stop them. (Half-way through the previous sentence, the narrator is revealed to be Reginald)
Fun Facts
Remarks
- This Episode was released a total 101 days after the previous Episode, Allon Writes Something. It is also, as of June 10th, 2010, the final Episode of Space Tree the Space Tree in Space.
- Originally, the Episodes contained 4736 frames. However, we saw the ending screen at frame #3685. If you right clicked the flash file and selected "Play", the remaining frames would play, displaying only the replay button, then the episode restarted.
- This was soon fixed. Also, the credits have been added.
Trivia
- Tree, indeed, rhymes with tree.
- The location inside Space Tree's leaves looks vaguely similar to the location on the television in episode 45, The Italian Job.
- Also in episode 45, there's an escapade that involves Allon and the Commander entering Space Tree's leaves.
- This is not the first appearence of an ancient tree language. In episode 46, Christopher 2 whispers to Space Tree in an 'Ancient Tree Language that only <Space Tree> can understand because <he's> a tree'.
